A champion of a number of international sommelier competitions and a representative of Hong Kong for World's Best Sommelier Competition in Greece in 2004, Eric’s passion for wine can be traced back to his wine-loving parents. He is interested in everything about a wine, be it its geography, history or wine-making method – he wants to know them all.

1. What do you love the most about your job?

I get to meet people from all over the world who are wine-lovers. Not to mention the exchanges and discussions are always fun and rewarding!

2. What is your most memorable wine & why?

1928 Chateau Cos d’Estournel, Saint-Estephe, France. This is my most memorable wine because it was the first bottle of old vintage wine I served as a sommelier.

3. Any obscure grape varietals caught your attention lately?

Most grapes from the Eastern Europe region.
